My opinion - a year later
After having used MacOSX now for more than a year I changed my opinion a whole lot...
I don't wanna write too much ATM but I just can say: Get a Mac!! It's totally worth it... (no, I'm sadly not sponsored by Apple Inc. or some other Pro Apple supported and I do not get free iPods, iPhones and other things I would really love to own).
At least after having updated to MacOSX Leopard in October 2007 where a lot of small but worthy changes took place, I'm getting more and more comfident using my MacBook. I mean, I was comfy with it after one month but now I'm just using it and living mac-style :D. My Mac is just running and really bores me! I don't have to fix any broken stuff all the time and things just work. Especially the WLAN problems I mentioned have totally gone away and now having the possibility to store different network profiles makes things for me a lot easier to handle than under any operating system I know.
When I first saw TimeMachine I just grinned and thought of never using it. But now it does my backups without gently reminding me of inserting my backup device (an external USB storage).
This article is not finished yet - but I'm tired now. Stay tuned!
